So is it the body shape, or is it a mind thing? Janet
Jackson is a great example of this topic in action. No matter how
skinny she gets she still feels fat.
You may not have
the money Janet has but you have
managed to keep buying the pills, the drinks, the teas, memberships to
local gyms and nothing seems to work, the weight you lose eases right
back on, after you tire of taking all of these remedies.
What you have is
not a problem with your body shape but
a love hate relationship with your body. Do you think it might be your
thoughts about yourself? You force the weight off but your mind is not
convinced that is what you want. When you send mixed messages to your
mind, it still sees you in your comfort zone of fat, and it goes to
work to put the weight back on.
Yes, there is a
certain look you want to have, no
problem but just because you are fat, out of shape, it
doesn’t
mean you can’t look good. It’s going to take some
time to
solve the weight problem but be comforted in knowing that if you make
better choices in clothing that flatter your shape, rather than trying
to wear the skinny girl styles. Yes, you can be stylish within your
body weight. If need be, hire a tailor to create your designs.
It’s time
to deal with your envy of the skinny
girls. Forget it. That is wasted mind power. Instead, begin right now
to appreciate the beautiful you, who you are, fat and all. How would
you perform for someone who hated you? You hate your body, yet you want
it to become skinny. Duh, think about it! If you tell the mind to do
something that is not true it will reject it. Example, “I am
skinny.” The truth is, you maybe saying it but the mind knows
you
are fat.
Here is what we are
going to do: change that hate to
love. We are going to call it what it is. This probably sounds crazy,
but why not try loving the fat body shape first; after all, it is your
fault it is overweight, isn’t it? So why are you angry, or
mad at
it? Does that make sense? You did it. Take responsibility.
Next, take a piece
of paper and write out a script to
your body, just like a romantic lover talks to his love. Tell each part
how much you love and adore it. That it is your fault but you are going
to do better. Let it know that you are going to be mindful of
everything you put in it from this point on. Make an audio of those
words and play it three times a day for 21 days and behold a miracle.
Remember it is not
about the body shape but about your
mind.
