Who
are these
folks? What color are they? No one knows.
It is a secret. They crossed over and never returned. Were they
ashamed, or just unaccepted? Can any of us really say who we are? Our
outward skin tells a story, it makes a statement, but who are we
really?
They are scattered.
Lost contact with those that they
once loved and who loved them. They have created a whole new identity
for themselves. Their children may have even married one another, not
knowing. The rest of the family never talks about them out loud. They
whisper to each other about that white side of the family.
Why does the
pigment of skin stand between a people whom
DNA proves that we are all interrelated? There are so many questions
and we know the answers but we dare not say it. Those who have crossed
over have resolved themselves to the fact that they will never be
reunited. Sad but true.
Living in a place
that’s not your home. Fearful of
others finding out who you are and rejecting you. The lie lived out now
spans generations. Might as well keep it a secret. Is there just a
little curiosity on your part?To know, to connect, to embrace the other
side of your family?
How great it is to
look at each other and see your
brother, or sister, rather than the color of skin. Skin is a covering
but underneath we are all the same. A woman once wrote: “One
Race
The Human Race.”
Let’s
change our thinking. Make it your business
to cross those lines and touch those souls, your brother, or sister
with kindness. Get to know someone who is different from you. Develop
that friendship. We all need each other, not just when there is a
disaster but EVERY DAY LOVE.
Our
Great Creator Made No Junk. We are all precious
in his sight. BE DIFFERENT!
