What is the younger
woman looking for? It could be the
father figure. Wouldn’t you be attracted to someone who
adores
you, thinks that you are beautiful, impressing with gifts, romance and
attention? She sees him as being able to do anything. His experience
has trained him in what women like, and he is skilled in working it to
his advantage.
So then why would
an older man want this young thing?
She re-invigorates what he thought was dead, or dying, his
youthfulness, his significance. He feels needed. She strokes his ego
with her girlish giggling response to dazzle her; surely a recipe to
climb mountains and jump off diving boards. He knows that she is high
maintenance but it’s worth it to parade his younger woman
around
his peers.
When Donald Trump
marries someone 24 years younger his
peers slap him on the back with approval, and if he has a child, those
same peers compliment him about how his seed is still producing good
stock. But when Mariah Carey marries Nick Cannon, it draws negative
comments, even from younger women.
Dating an older
man, no problem, but to marry one, to
spend your youth chained to one in marriage, no matter how rich he is,
are you sure you want to do that? Janice was 29 when she married 54
year old Lester. They seemed to have such a wonderful relationship. It
felt right to marry. It was okay as long as Lester was in good health.
Life had been good financially, health-wise and intimately, until
Lester had his first bout with Cancer at age 65. Janice felt trapped.
She hadn’t bargained for this. This was not her plan for the
rest
of her life, taking care of Lester. Janice felt guilty about her
feelings but that was how she felt. Though she did what a wife should
do as she committed to do according to their marriage vows, her heart
wasn’t in it.
Take away the
health problem, there maybe intimacy
issues as he age. Deciding to spend your young life with an older man
will cost you, it will drain the life out of you. He is not growing
younger, even though he may act that way to impress you, it is not
true.
Refuse to sell your
soul for the luxuries and comfort
this type of relationship bring. Where is your value? You are valuable.
A man seeking a younger woman maybe in denial of or afraid to get old
and having a young woman around fools him into believing he still got
it.
Date
but don’t commit.
